1. Who we are

cvLancer is an online suite of developer and productivity tools. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use the service available at https://www.cvlancer.com.

2. Data we collect

We follow a "privacy by default" approach. Most of our tools execute entirely in your browser; the data you process is never sent to our servers.

  • Locally processed data: All input you type into client-side tools (password generator, JSON formatter, regex tester, etc.) stays in your browser.
  • Server-processed files: When using server-side tools (image compression, PDF merge/split, PDF→Word), files are processed in memory and deleted immediately after the response is returned. We do not keep copies.
  • Shared snippets: If you explicitly create a share link, the content is stored encrypted-at-rest until expiration (default 7 days, max 30) and only readable with the secret token in the URL.
  • Technical logs: We may keep request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for up to 30 days for abuse detection and rate limiting.

3. Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies:

  • Essential cookies (theme, language preference) — always active.
  • Advertising cookies via Google AdSense — only set after explicit consent.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site is supported by ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Google Ads Settings.

You can request deletion of any shared snippet, opt out of advertising cookies and request a copy of any data we hold about you by contacting us at the email address listed below.

7. Children

This service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will reflect changes.
